Association Congress 2010Shocklogic is delighted to be supporting this year’s Association Congress - the 4th annual event for association managers and association conference and event organisers, taking place on 12-13 July 2010 at the Millennium Gloucester Hotel, London. The two-day programme includes workshops and plenary sessions covering marketing, selling sponsorship and exhibitions, developing programmes, retaining membership, raising the value of your events and professional development. There will also be a welcome reception, conference dinner and round-table lunch discussions each day including up to 10 hours of face-to-face networking time. Plus case study presentations from leading associations and a strategic level panel session. Shocklogic’s Participantlogic system will be used to manage all online registrations for the Congress, with the Participantlogic Office onsite module being used to manage onsite registration, badging and barcode scanning services for the Congress. Shocklogic Celebrates One Year of Success as an Independent CompanyApril 2010 marks one year since Shocklogic were reformed as an independent company, formally ceasing to be part of the Congrex group of companies. Managing Director and founder John Martinez, formerly CTO of the Congrex Group was able to acquire 100% of the shareholding of the company in April 2009. Despite making the transition during some of the hardest economic conditions of recent times, Shocklogic continue to grow with several key successes over the last year. As well as continuing to develop and offer its popular suite of online event registration and abstract management solutions Participantlogic and Abstractlogic, Shocklogic have added a number of new products and services to their portfolio; a low-cost online registration alternative Participantlogic-llite, new onsite technology services including event audience response and voting systems and new barcode capabilities to the very successful Scanlogic. One of Shocklogic’s most exciting projects for 2010 is the culmination of over 18 months of work supporting the Third Lausanne Congress on World Evangelisation, taking place in Cape Town, in October of this year. The complex registration event with over 9,000 participants from all over the world is being managed using the online registration tool Participantlogic. Shocklogic service an expanding portfolio of Professional Conference Organisers such as Kenes UK and Paragon Conventions (part of the Liberty Group), Educational Institutions such as the University of Glasgow and The University of Cambridge Examinations Board and National and International Associations such as the International Society of Microbial Ecology and the Pathological Society of Great Britain and Ireland. Whilst continuing to support the Congrex Group as one of its valued clients, Shocklogic, based in London, UK continue to expand and are currently supporting more than 50 clients, in 11 countries across Europe, North and South America, Middle-East, and Africa. |
