Special Characters:

Did you know that every single computer carries a specific character set? This means in simple english that what you see in your computer as a special character (alfa, beta, superscripts, etc) could be seen different in another computer. Then you will need to make sure that every abstract delivered from every region in the world that speaks every language is seen as its author intended. How could you possibly have installed in your computer every single character set available for every language. Usually this only becomes an issue when you try to export the data to a type-setter or for usage in CD ROMS and then it is just too late. OUR SYSTEM SOLVES THIS PROBLEM.

Tables:

Tables are a must for those submitters that need to present data intensive (statistics, demographics, etc) types of abstracts. Once presented they will be needed in the same format and they should be portable to different systems for further publication.

Images:

Allow submitters to upload images that will enhance and communicate better their ideas.

Downloads:

Our systems will also allow for downloads of forms if the project wishes to handle the abstract submission both by paper and on-line.

Uploads:

If the nature of the meeting is such that abstracts should be presented as files, (i.e .pdf files, word documents, etc) Abstractlogic® allows for the complete management of these files as submitted abstracts.

The submitter will at any time be able to see a preview of the submitted abstract, displaying all characters, tables and images, exactly the way they will be printed in the Abstract Book. The system will store abstract texts in HTML format, meaning they can very easily be transmitted to printers, typesetters, CD producers and also published on web pages.

Communication with authors and committees:

Through our e-mail engine send either personalised or mass-emails to authors and committee members. The author receives an automatic email confirmation as soon as they sibmit their abstract. The administrator also receives an e-mail informing him/her that an abstract has been submitted. This way you do not have to access the system everytime to check for new submissions.
Send acceptance or rejection communcations to authors.

Reports:

Generate reports of the abstract data for its administration and print them and access them through the web from anywhere.

Bring to the web existing data and bring from the web the submitted data in every imaginable format and for all the necessary reasons, in-house abstract systems, CD production, Websites, Abstract book, etc

On-line abstract review & scoring

reviewlogic* manages the reviewing of abstracts on-line. Abstract reviewers login to a secured area where they can access all the papers assigned to them and score, accept or reject them on-line.
Scoring criteria can be tailored to fit the needs and culture of each event.
Abstracts are presented on a web page or can be downloaded and printed out.
The reviewing process can be synchronized easily with in-house abstract management systems, using the Shocklogic Import and Export engine.
